Friends of the Congo is collaborating with Adelphi University and professor Abdin Chande to discuss indigenous resistance in the Congo during her African History course. Congolese indigenous leader Samuel Yagase will share his experience with Professor Chande's African History class. The course covers the period from 1800 to the present, focuses on changes in indigenous African cultures and states, colonialism and its aftermath, and issues facing independent Africa.
