Part i: LAND + COMMUNITY TEACH-IN

In the screening of the film “A Tree Prayer,” Congolese
filmmaker Petna Ndaliko introduces us to Neema—a young
voice from Goma rising for climate justice—who seeks out
wisdom rooted deep in ancestral ecology. Neema explores the
Basandja principles—where activism becomes ceremony, and
responsibility a song shared with all living things.

After the film, we’ll gather for our teach-in and end our time with
a tour of Community Roots Garden and MiniNature Reserve.

Saturday, November 15

1:00 PM - 9:00 PM PDT
