In the village of Kashebere, Aïcha, a teenage girl, survives a rebel attack marked by her rape and the death of her mother. Traumatized, she believes she has found in a mystical necklace the power to take revenge and bring peace to her region. Together with other women, she leads a revolt against the rebels. But when she loses the necklace, she discovers that her true strength comes from within herself. Transformed, she becomes the symbol of a popular female resistance against oppression.
