The Water Bearer Walk Details!

Date: Sunday, October 19, 2025

Time: Check-in begins at 9:00AM.

Walk begins promptly at 10:00AM. Event ends at 3:30PM.

Start Location: Shoelace Park, Bronx, NY

Water Bearers will carry real containers of water from Shoelace Park to Bronx Forest — a 2-mile walk designed to represent the journey taken by many in Congo each day just to reach water. Along the route, participants will encounter powerful interactive stations, including: 

• Source & Survival – Water Purification Station Learn how clean water is created
• Heartbeat circle – Mutuashi Dance Circle Move in rhythm with Congolese traditions
• Bridges No Borders How Congo Supports the World – Discover Congo’s impact
• Kids Nature Zone – games, puzzles, and sensory play
• Cultural Tables & Vendors – Explore Congolese food, art, and music All participants will receive a Wells of Hope t-shirt, a goody bag, and access to fun prizes for the top fundraising teams and individuals!

Can’t join us in NYC? You can still be part of Wells of Hope from wherever you are:
