Interdenominational Spirituality of the Congo

Congo Week 2025 opens with a communal prayer for the Democratic Republic of Congo.

Like millions in DR Congo, we gather live, in fellowship and trust in God – praying for peace, justice, and hope.

Why is this prayer important?

For many Congolese, prayer is the last source of hope amidst violence, poverty, and insecurity.

It is an act of solidarity: By joining in prayer, we show that Congo’s suffering is not forgotten.

It is a cry for justice and a testimony of shared humanity.
