Friends of the Congo (FOTC) in collaboration with Adelphi University will address the question of White Supremacy in the DR Congo. FOTC's Executive Director, Maurice Carney will relate the situation in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) to the course focus:

• the origins of “race” as an idea and social construction
• explores the social, cultural, political, and economic consequences of how race has been used as a tool for promoting inclusion and exclusion
