Congolese women have been incredibly resilient in the midst of the deadliest conflict in the world, undergirded by rape as a strategy of war. Young women throughout the country are reclaiming their power and charting groundbreaking and innovative paths toward a Free Congo. A shining example of this are the women of Yole Ecologia in Goma. They are imagining new possibilities of agency and empowerment even in the midst of a conflict zone. Botembe Moseka Maïté of Yole!Africa will join the students at Adelphi Univeristy to share the remarkable agency and vision being exrecised by women on the frontlines of the conflict in the Congo.

The forum is hosted by Adelphi University.
