The second volume of the "Future Ancestors" collective liberation series will focus on the Congo. We will be collecting and curating education and art about the Congo so please feel free to submit any poems, writings, drawings, collages, and whatever your heart desires! This community zine will be published by Congo Week 2026 to fundraise for ©congofriends!

Welcome community! Thank you for your interest in being part of the second volume of our "Future Ancestors" Zine! We are so excited to have this upcoming community zine be focused on the DRC  . We aim to have this zine completed and published for Congo Week 2026 to fundraise for Friends of the Congo. Art has always been political. Our creativity and imagination is a form of resistance and a pathway to our collective liberation. And although the oppressors want to silence us, they will never be able to  because we will document our stories and art for the generations to come. Your piece can be a poem, writing, cartoon, collage, etc. — any art/ storytelling form that your heart desires! If you can get your piece in by the end of December that would be awesome but also time is a social construct so there’s not really a deadline; just let us know if you need more time! We can’t wait to see what you all create. Thank you again everyone!
